The penalty for entering a child under the age of sixteen in a beauty contest is two years in prison and a large fine. Perhaps all junior beauty pageants can be reclassified as talent shows, but everyone would know that the prettiest girl will win.
The French have changed quite a bit in two years.

I don’t follow beauty pageants, and I would not have known this if I didn’t read Business Insider regularly. Apparently, some people are upset that a lady of Indian origin won the competition.
